Karlsruhe, August 23rd 2007 - Systec & Services GmbH have unveiled the Mobile Logistic Services (MLS) Solution in connection with the Systec Production Suite (SYPROS™).

Within the pharmaceutical value chain, the production-logistic processes and operations have the most varied requirements.

The requirement that the correct materials and goods arrive quickly and surely at their destination in the store, production or shipping can be satisfied today from a technical and processing point of view by using e.g. a SAP WM System. However, when using such a solution, one typically needs access to a PC workstation, a Tablet-PC or some other hardware on which a SAP GUI application can be executed.

This frequently runs counter to the understandable need within the production-logistic chain of achieving maximum mobility and flexibility. Storage units, loads, availabilities, etc. can be identified with suitable hardware such as scanners and input but further processing usually requires an installed SAP GUI application.

The SYPROS™ MLS Solution satisfies the need for maximum mobility and flexibility by the integration of the GUI-based dialogues into the mobile scanner unit. The following functionalities are then available as standard:

• Information about the storage unit on the scanner display

• Information about the storage location on the scanner display

• SAP integrated storage with the mobile device

• SAP integrated relocation/transfer with the mobile device

• SAP integrated taking out of storage with the mobile device

SAP integrated stocktaking with the mobile device
