and as a consultant for the entire IT infrastructure of the new pharmaceutical plant in Pratteln, Switzerland. The primary goal is to integrate a MES system that provides GMP-compliant support for both the production processes and for the interactive control of the solid dose manufacturing. In addition to IT consulting, this project also requires standard software and hardware systems. The goal is to integrate a computer-aided system that provides GMP-compliant support for both the production processes and for the interactive control of the solid dose manufacturing. Systec & Services was chosen as general contractor primarily because they are in the position to supply the whole project as a "one source supplier. They are planning to implement an MES system, to integrate all necessary hardware and software components and to deliver validation and support services. Konapharma AG also based its decision on Systec & Services’ many years of experience in meeting the particular requirements of the FDA and GMP regulated Life Sciences industry. Systec & Services will be providing the RS PMX™ MES system from Rockwell Automation, the GMP-IT hardware and software needed for the project, the connection of the MES system to a business system, and the qualification and validation services. The entire project will be completed by the first quarter of 2009.
