Today Systec & Services GmbH together with the Dr. Willmar Schwabe GmbH & Co. KG publishes the case story of the successful implementation of an electronic Production Management System in their liquid production area. An area where they produce liquid pharmaceuticals based on herbal substances, so-called phytopharmaceuticals. With the implementation of the MES Systems PMX™ from Rockwell Automation, Dr. Willmar Schwabe GmbH & Co. KG can now utilize a recipe management, a weigh & dispense system and an innovative Electronic Batch Recording (EBR) system to electronically document the production process without paper. That includes the electronic documentation of the entire process controlled and documented by the operator personnel as well as transfer of data out of the process control system. The result is a fully automated electronic batch record at the end of each production. Systec & Services was the general contractor and responsible for the delivery of the necessary GMP IT hardware components, the MES Software Solution, as well as all required implementation, integration and validation services. Under Systec & Services’ supervision, Lang & Peitler Automation GmbH provided the implementation and installation of the Siemens PCS7 process control system.
