Karlsruhe, 16th February 2009 – Systec & Services GmbH opens a new Service Center in Bad Wurzach, Germany as well as a new branch office in Paris, France. With the expansion we are located in close proximity to well known biotech and pharmaceutical companies in the emerging Ulm Biotech region and France, one of the largest pharma markets in Europe. With our Services Center in Bad Wurzach we can now provide our customer in the Ulm area a more responsive and dynamic support to meet their services needs. Our generous offices provide the space to support a continuous growth in the Ulm region for the next three years. Over the years the BioRegionUlm has attracted multiple biotech and pharmaceutical organizations. Today the region is the central location for the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals in Europe. No other region in German grew faster than the BioRegionUlm; thus they currently rank number 2 in Germany. France is the largest and one of the most important pharma markets in Europe. Along with multi national organizations France also hosts a large number of medium sized and local Life Sciences companies. Many of the Systec & Services customers in Germany and Switzerland also operate subsidiaries and manufacturing sites in France. Systec & Services was able to establish a reference in France with a rollout of their solution to Livron – a subsidiary and production site of Haupt Pharma. “Systec & Services is located where our customers are – that is one of our principles”, comments Alfred Schiffmacher, managing director and partner of Systec & Services. “Therefore it was not a question ‘if’ we want to expand but rather ‘when’ we will establish our services capabilities also in these regions.” New chances are often paired with opportunity – Systec & Services has also been able to hire some of the best consultants and technical resources. One of them is Hans-Ulrich Seufert, who will also take responsibility for our new Bad Wurzach Service Center. Hans-Ulrich Seufert has 20 years of experiences in the life sciences industry. Over the last 2 years he was with Rockwell Automation and their lead architect for pharmaceutical software solutions – the so called Factory Talk Production Center – PharmaSuite. Jean-Philippe Kalfon will lead our branch office in Paris. Before he has joined Systec & Services he was working for prominent software and IT solution companies such as Documentum and Software AG.
