Karlsruhe / Cary (NC), June 9th, 2010 – New application RDBMS Object Builder of Systec & Services enables access to dynamic and complex data models with FactoryTalk® VantagePoint. Rockwell Automation recently introduced FactoryTalk VantagePoint Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence (EMI) software. FactoryTalk VantagePoint EMI empowers users at every level of an enterprise by supplying them with Web-based dashboards and reports displaying key performance indicators from multiple manufacturing and business data sources. FactoryTalk VantagePoint EMI connects to multiple data sources – real-time, historical, relational and transactional – to create a single resource that can access, aggregate and correlate information. The application is based on a unified production model (UPM) that provides a unified view of disparate manufacturing data and gives a context for relationships among equipment, product, materials and people. Systec & Services is pleased to introduce a new add-on for FactoryTalk VantagePoint EMI - RDBMS Object Builder – which streamlines the generation of logical models that allows access to complex data structures and generates the access objects required for dynamically generating and refreshing trends, plots, charts and dashboards. Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) Object Builder enhances dashboard and KPI reports that require access to more complex and dynamic data structures that are less “traditional” such as data sources like relational databases. It is not enough to physically connect to the data, but to also generate the data hierarchy model. The advantage of adding the RDBMS Object Builder is the flexibility and speed of report and dashboard development. “With our RDBMS Object Builder our clients achieve the data quality they need to make relevant product and manufacturing decisions”, Bill Ruchte, CEO of Systec & Services says in describing the importance of this new product. He adds: “FactoryTalk VantagePoint is built on a Unified Production Model (UPM). When combining VantagePoint with relational databases, the RDBMS Object Builder automatically allows non-technical users to browse through a comprehensive relational database the way they understand the data and get the information they need. In addition, the RDBMS Object Builder generates complex SQL statements automatically, quickly and continuously!” As a Rockwell Automation Enterprise Solution Partner, Systec & Services integrates different products with the FactoryTalk Suite for value-added solutions for their clients.
