Celgene International has chosen Systec & Services GmbH to provide a complete manufacturing execution system (MES) for the new global pharmaceutical production facility under construction in Boudry, Switzerland.

Under the terms of the agreement, Systec & Services will provide Celgene with a customized Propack Data PMX MES™ solution from Rockwell Automation – including all necessary GMP IT hardware and related qualification and validation services – to manage Celgene’s production processes, including:

warehouse management, weighing and dispensing, order management, finite scheduling, material flow tracking, and equipment status management. Future modular expansions of the PMX MES system are to include electronic batch recording and a seamless interface to the company’s ERP system. All systems and processes related to the new production facility must be in compliance with current FDA and European GMP regulations, and the project is expected to be completed by mid-2007.
