The simple and very transparent modeling of data pursues two goals: Independence from the actual evaluation (Business Intelligence (BI) tools like LiSI ValidReports or LiSI AdHocReports) and access to the original data sources through a virtualized database.

LiSI DataModel follows this path:
First a system-neutral model is implemented on the basis of UML (Unified Modeling Language), and then the virtual data accesses are modeled based on this. The neutral model is accessed only during the third step, where different tools are then used to analyze, evaluate and generate reports.
